About the Creator

I am Alison, and I have been in education for 25 years. For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to efficiency. If there was a smarter way to do something, I wanted to find it. Technology became that tool for me — a way to teach better, plan faster, and show up for my students in a bigger way. Over time I became the teacher everyone came to with their tech questions. When COVID hit, I jumped in to help my colleagues navigate online teaching. And while most people were relieved to go back to the building, I found that weaving technology into everything had changed the way I thought about teaching forever. When my school's tech position opened up, my head of school offered me the job. I said yes immediately and I have never looked back. For the past five years I have been in the tech lab every single day, teaching every student from kindergarten through fifth grade. Technology moves fast, and I love that. I am always learning, always growing, always bringing the best I can to my students. I built the Ready to Click Tech Lab because I wanted a way to share what I have built with other teachers. Teaching technology is the best job I have ever had, and I want every K-5 tech teacher to feel that way.
